We believe the best poems continue unfolding after they’re finished. Resonance exists to publish work that invites readers back, poems rich in image, attentive to language, and generous enough to be read more than once.
Resonance was founded out of a love for contemporary poetry and the belief that some poems stay with us long after we’ve finished reading them.
We welcome poetry in all forms and styles. Rather than seeking one particular aesthetic, we’re interested in work that feels carefully made, emotionally honest, and alive on the page.
Above all, we hope Resonance becomes a place where writers feel read with care and readers discover poems they’ll return to again and again.
Resonance is an independent publication founded and edited by Sara Tejani in Toronto, Canada. It is not affiliated with a university or institution. It does not accept AI-generated work.
We are currently reading for our inaugural issue. The reading period is open, response time is within four weeks, and we do not charge submission fees.
